Sound of Faith
Cable TV pilot shoot — 1972

In 1972, the Sound of Faith taped a pilot TV show for a cable station in Palm Desert, California. This was back when cable was mainly for areas that couldn't get reception for "normal" broadcast TV, and, although there were thousands of cable subscribers, most of the general population hadn't yet heard of "cable TV." Although our pilot never aired, we did tape an entire show, and we sure would like to get a copy of that videotape (although we assume it is long gone). Thanks to Rod Callison, we have these pictures from the pilot taping session.

The following 3 pictures were taken in Williams Hall at our church in Covina. These were publicity shots to go along with the TV taping:

Both photos:
Back row: Mike Elley, Robyn Bailey, George Colberg, Anita Kullander, Mike Newland, Steve Heersema.
Front row: Steve Garis, Treecia Holmes, Paula de Jong, Barb Johnson, Martha Withers, Joan Manners, Rick Shea

The following 6 photos were taken at our 2nd TV taping at the cable station's smaller studio in San Bernardino. (We don't currently have any photos from the pilot shoot in the larger Palm Desert studio.)
